Using Your Google Account Credentials to Unlock Your Phone
After you have attempted to unlock your phone five times, an onscreen button will appear down by “Emergency Call” that reads “Forgot pattern?” Tap this, and it will request your Google account credentials. Once it confirms who you are, you’ll be asked to make a new lock pattern or PIN. This time, write it down or make it more memorable so you won’t forget!Performing a Factory Reset
If, for some reason, this method fails to work (which has happened in the past on older Android phones), you may have to resort to a factory reset of your device. This means you will lose all your data, so start using a backup tool now if you haven’t already.
